SATC 2 GETTING TERRIBLE REVIEWS

Sex and the City 2 opens everywhere today. Despite getting not so great reviews, if you’re a fan, you’ll be going. Watch the karaoke scene ok? Their outfits cost $50,000- that’s a Mercedes.

LEE WINS IDOL!!

LEE DeWYZE is your new American Idol. The 24-year-old paint salesman from Chicago beat out CRYSTAL BOWERSOX in the nationwide vote Wednesday night to win the show's ninth season. Only two percent of the vote separated the two finalists.

Even though Crystal was an early favorite, Lee was seen as the most improved of the season. As America watched him get better and better each week, they most likely started rooting for him and, most importantly, voting for him. Also figuring into the vote is American Idol's mostly female audience. Conventional wisdom has it that with no other male contestant to support, the ladies went for Lee.

The top two contestants sang quite a bit on Wednesday night's finale, including with some pretty famous folks. Crystal took a solo turn singing ALANIS MORISSETTE's "Ironic," and then welcomed Alanis to the stage for a duet of the singer's "You Oughta Know." Lee teamed up with CHICAGO for a medley of their hits, including "Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?," "If You Leave Me Now," and "25 or 6 to 4." Lee and Crystal then teamed up with JOE COCKER for a run through of "With a Little Help from My Friends." As the top two finalists, Lee and Crystal also received brand-new Fords painted with designs they came up with themselves.

TWO BABIES FOR THE TRAVOLTAS?

We mentioned that John Travolta and Kelly Preston are having a baby? Well Star Magazine is claiming it’s now twins and they can barely contain their happiness! I’m still of the belief that it’s just one baby – their PR person says just one too – we’ll see eventually!

SUMMER TV BEGINS

New comedy on NBC starting tonight called 100 questions, and SYTYCD is also back…A little different this time, only 10 dancers will make it to the actual TV show and each week they’ll be paired up with a past favorite. (Oh and Mary Murphy will only be screaming here and there).
