DANCING AROUND HIS TAX FORMS....

Helio Castroneves (2-time Indi 500 champ and winner of Dancing with the Stars) has been indicted on federal tax evasion and fraud charges in connection with his alleged use of offshore accounts to hide millions of dollars from the IRS.

He’s been charged with conspiracy "for the purpose of impeding, impairing, obstructing, and defeating the lawful government functions of the Internal Revenue Service." He’s been charged with 1 count of conspiracy and 6 counts of tax evasion for purportedly failing to report about 5.5 million dollars in income from 1999 through 2004.

Each of the six counts carries a maximum five year prison sentence. The race car driver's attorney and his sister, who is also his business manager, are facing charges as well.

All three are expected to make court appearances today.
