JAY SAYS GOODBYE…UNTIL SEPTEMBER

After 17 years and 33,000 political jokes (4,400 about Clinton), Jay Leno says goodbye to the Tonight Show, tonight. His last guest...Conan, who will then take over Monday. (Jay's new show will start in September).

APPARENTLY MONEY DOES TALK!

Archie has popped the question to...Veronica. The comic book character chooses the dark-haired Veronica Lodge while the blonde Betty Cooper sheds a tear in an Archie comic that will hit stores in September. Veronica gladly accepts the proposal. It's part of a six-part story that jumps ahead a few years, with Archie as a college grad.Archie Comics had announced earlier this month that Archie would decide between Veronica or Betty.

SCOTCHY SCOTCH SCOTCH!

Will Ferrell has announced that he’s meeting with Paul Rudd and Steve Carrell next week to discuss…you guessed it, Anchorman 2! (he also joked that he’s not prepared to take a paycut).

ED ASNER, CHRISTOPHER PLUMMER and JOHN RATZENBERGER lend their voices to Up, which opened the Cannes Film Festival in France earlier this month. Rated PG.
