Hollywood 360 - Emmy Nominations Are In!

The 60th Annual Emmy Nominations are IN!

LOS ANGELES -- "Mad Men," A-M-C's sleek drama set in theadvertising world circa 1960, and F-X's legal thriller "Damages"made Emmy nominations history today as the first basic cableprograms to gain best-series nods.

"John Adams," H-B-O's prestige historical drama about one ofAmerica's founding fathers, was the overall frontrunner with 23 bids, including a lead-actor nomination for Paul Giamatti's turn asAdams.

"30 Rock," honoured as best comedy series last year, was the top nominee among sitcoms with 17 bids.

"Mad Men" was the leading drama contender with 16 nominations, including one for star Jon Hamm.

The Emmy Awards ceremony will be held September 21st andbroadcast on A-B-C.
