THE LENO EXPERIMENT...GRADE F.

Looks like NBC may be rethinking its primetime experiment with Jay Leno. Rumor has it that NBC is pulling the plug on the primetime Leno, it’ll go on hiatus in February (they’re trying to use the Olympics as a reason to pull him) – but how convenient he’ll slide back into his 11:30 slot once they’re finished. The OTHER option is that he might host a half-hour show that would go on before Conan who would be moved to 12 and Jimmy Fallon would move to 1am but most think if it goes down, Conan would likely be shown the door.

NBC says "Jay Leno is one of the most compelling entertainers in the world today. As we have said all along, Jay's show has performed exactly as we anticipated on the network."

NBC said of O'Brien's job status, quote, "We remain committed to keeping Conan O'Brien on NBC. He is a valued part of our late-night lineup, as he has been for more than 16 years and is one of the most respected entertainers on television."

The statement did not, however, say in what role O'Brien would find himself if he stays with NBC.

Jay Leno himself joked about the speculation on his program on Thursday night, saying he didn't think the rumors are true but adding that, "Fox is beautiful this time of year."

MORE JERSEY SHORE

If you love the train wreck MTV show Jersey Shore, be happy cuz it looks like it’s getting a season 2. I’m not really sure how many we have left to be arrested, but I’m sure there’s enough hairspray and fist pumping to last another few weeks.

TV TIME!

ALL TV will be back next week and networks have just confirmed their mid season schedules. We have a new medical show – from Jerry Bruckheimer, called Miami Medical starting April 2nd. You will also ps see some show shifting – nights.
